Today is a special day in my memory. Sadly it has nothing to do with Descent! Anyway, in regards to the Hyperspace project, work has been slow but it will get done. I cannot give a release date as I have toooo much 'real life' getting in the way of things. I also have a design document for a non-hyperspace single player level which has been collecting dust. I'm very eager to work on that one, too. Details later.

I wonder if anyone actually reads these pages? I seriously doubt it! Hehe. Anyway, as announced here and on the Sectorgame forums, I will be developing a new single-player Hyperspace mission for Descent 3. Well you may think I've forgotten about everything here, well to be honest it's not a case of forgetting - it's just a case of having no time to do all the things I had wanted to do originally. But with some luck, I may have some time coming up in the next few weeks (or months) and I might just be able to slap together something nice for you patient folks out there. While I can't promise anything amazing, I can at least promise that something will be released before the end of the year. It will be a low budget project, but I'm hoping it will come out nicely in the end.

Although it won't be a big project, over the next few weeks I'll be putting together a special-edition level for the Hyperspace series. It won't be an Assault level, nor will it be a CTF level. Infact it won't be a team-based level at all, but instead a CO-OP only mission - Or solo-play. The idea behind this will be to create a simple, easy-to understand yet explosive mission. There will be easy objectives but lot's of skill required. What I plan to include in this mission is all of the current Basewars weapons (excluding a few bombs which may get replaced for the purpose of a "bomber" style mission..) and most of the current AI models. You'll be based on a Mothership, and alongside your wingmates you must defend the Mothership from the Maltu Orion Legion. Follow the progress in the forum here.
