Stargate is popcorn entertainment, always has been and shall be. I like watching it for the laughs.
I read in a paper or online that after Blink at one primary school which had gargoyles on the roof the kids would take it in turn to stand like a meerkat sentry-like watching the statues so they couldn't move.ngtm1r wrote:Hey, who turned out the lights?Flipside wrote:Shadows in the Library were pretty interesting too, they were probably the closest to that 'hide behind the sofa' feeling of some of the original monsters.

The remake couldn't be any more different from the original - it's a serious, gritty and well-acted drama rather than a shiny-clothes cheesfest with recycled footage every episode.BloodEagle wrote: I don't watch BSG (remake), because I saw the original and didn't care for that in the slightest.

There were no black and white films. The major selling point of the first two films were 'The Daleks! IN COLOUR!!"CamInHead wrote:I can remember the original black and white films. Albeit vaguely.....
Oh and I saw both episodes just now (I missed the 1st half last time). Quite liked the arrival of the second Doc and they're like "Oi!" to each other.
