I, completely to the contrary love chinese, and find Thai to be quite absolutely dispicable.
In my experience it's only really 'fake' chinese that's greasy - there's a world of difference between that (including actual restaurants on the high street et al - i.e. anywhere in the western world with more western than chinese customers) and the proper Chinese places I've been to.
I'd imagine the same applies to Thai et al, too... would love to get some proper Japanese sushi sometimes. And Korean barbeque is the bestest.

However, to someone who does not like greens or seafood (for example), a lovely dish like Buddha's delight or seafood paella will taste awful, or worse, the names of those dishes will probably disgust that person for the entire day
