Driver's ed wasn't offered in my schools. Either of them that I attended. Anyway, ABS Brakes suck. They feel like there's less control. And who 'pumps their brakes'? You shouldn't do that unless you're trying to stop short very quickly, or coming to a high speed stop in the rain. Otherwise, normal braking works perfectly.

They didn't teach me much in my driver's ed - I had to learn most of the stuff from my parents - so don't feel bad. :p

And I agree... in most cases you don't need to pump your brakes. But in the few situations where you would, that's what would cause your taillights to flash.

Not to revert this thread to its original topic, but I have seen brake lights flashing. It's a feature of some newer cars from what I can tell, makes it more obvious to people folowing you that you are slowing down/coming to a stop. Why a cop would pull you for that though, I don't know.
