Not a good weekend....

Well, so far this weekend, we've found rats in the outhouse stealing food, my 91 year old grandmother had a fall in a power cut and cut her head open, and my 19 year old cat has worsened to the point where he goes to the vet tomorrow. The odds of him coming back alive are too minute to be worth even hoping for, and personally, I'd prefer to end it now than keep dragging it on by 'just a few more weeks'.

All in all, I'm feeling pretty worn :(

Poor thing *hug*

How's nana now? I'm sorry to hear about Bonnie :(

The rat problem is probably the easiest to solve, but I'm glad at least you have Sharon by your side. Remember to eat something and take it easy *hug*

Wow, my grandmother cut her head in a fall recently too. 91, that's very impressive! Hope she keeps going :)

As for the cat, well, 19 is more than many cats reach - Take good care of him now, I know how much animals can mean to a person. In the words of WF *Hug* :)

My Nan is well and back home again, thanks for asking.

It appears that I own not a Moggie, but a Tank.... He had a bowel infection and had got badly dehydrated, but the vet is pretty confident that there are no other major problems with him. He's on a course of fluids and will probably have to go onto hypo-allergenic food, but as long as he responds, the vet says there's little else wrong with him :)

So, at least things are looking better today, it's all ups and downs though, so I refuse to get my hopes up too high yet, after all, he's a very, very old cat.

Is your cat named Moggthuselah?

Hehehe, apparently, our vet is not impressed with one thing. When we first took the cat up there, she put him on Steroids, and that seemed to perform miracles for him. However, when he went the second time, we saw a different vet who wouldn't renew the prescription because steroids can have side effects. The cat started to slip from there.

To directly quote my vet when we said about the other vet mentioning side effects, 'Well, I think I shall have to make my partner aware of the 'side effect' of stopping the steroids in this case.'
