Just as I thought it was over, because for the whole month of October I didn't hear anything from the landlord or plumber (besides occasional metal banging sound from downstairs), I was told that they wanted to dig up my bathroom floor to fix the leak. What leak??! The same one??!! Yes, the same leak!
The building assistant manager asked me to leave my keys with the doorman and my permission to access my apartment (apparently someone lost the spare ones and no one knew when or how it happened). So I left the key with the doorman (the retarded Warren) at 6:45am the next day before I left for work. Guess what? By the time I got home, I saw a nasty note on my door saying that I was holding up a very important plumbing job that people were trying to do because they did not have my keys to access my apartment!
(Well, the worst is about to come) A day after thing mess was clearified, I got home around 6:30pm, I found my apartment unlocked, stuff was moved (didn't look like anything was taken) and all the light in my apartment was switched on (brighter than Santa's house)!!
I called the doorman immediately to find out what was going on, but guess what he said? "Calm down m'am. I left your apartment unlocked so people could go in..." with his cool confident voice. I was very upset, very very upset the way he talked to me. It was bad enough that he was confident about his idea of leaving my apartment unlocked, but the worst is, he didn't even know how many plumbers stopped by, when did they stop by or leave!
I decided to talk to the building manager the next day, him too sounded like an jackass. I nearly hired an attorney to talk to them for me. Anyway, to cut the long story short, my bathroom was demolished over the holidays and I lived in my unit without a functioning toilet, tub and sink for 10 days! I am just glad it's useable again, on Monday and here are a few pictures I want to show you guys
