I just finished my old-but-in-good-nick box set of paperback John Wyndhams.

w00t. Quality stuff. His style is somehow very similar across the books without ever coming across as overly derivative, and while it definitely feels dated, it's stll accessible. Plus he can compress time both massively and gracefully, which is harder than you'd think.

If anyone happens to see any of his stuff, grab it. Day of the Triffids is his best and most famous, but his other stuff is better than its limited recognition would suggest.

The Chrysalids is a fantastic book. The Trouble With Lichen was also excellent. :yes:
