Stangely enough I have to agree with RedMenace on this one. This is racism plain and simple. They're acting like this guy is somehow betraying his "blackness" by supporting a particular party.

If the guy was supporting the KKK or something maybe I could see their point but the republican party is not a racist institution by design. Hell I doubt that it's actually much more racist than the democrats are to be honest (They hate poor people not black people in the republican party :D )

In some respects many democrats are racist/bigots as much as any republican. Even if not intentional, some have said things in anger etc. For instance, Hillary Clinton referred to someone as a "f#####g jew" or when the new Supreme Court nominy of Bushy's was referred to as Scalito(this one is a stretch I know) some people of Italian ethinicity were offended.

And in general, the race issues in the US are not only the fault of "whitey," but of political policies, attitudes and ideas.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more frustrated and sick I become.

I've been saying pretty much the same thing for years.

The problem with the US is that there are certain groups who will drag colour into it in cases where it has nothing to do with it. For instance all that s### about George Bush not caring about the black victims of Katrina. What absolute s###. George Bush didn't care about the poor victims of Katrina. The colour of their skin was incidental. Had those all been rich black people he'd have no doubt done just as much as he would have for rich white people. Had it been poor white people instead I doubt Bush would have done anything different.
So why make it a race issue unless it's because you have a political axe to grind?

It needs to stop. Personally I think that saying that someone is betraying his "blackness" by becoming a republican is as offensive as saying that he's betraying his "blackness" by not stealing cars and selling drugs.
"His politics are not in the best interest of the masses of black people."
And since when has a white republican had politics that were in the best interest of the masses of white people? Not to mention the inherent racism in the fact that they think that just cause someone is black he should only be interested in helping other black people out.

If you do get rid of him, mind sending him over here? As far as I'm concerned, he'd make a hell of a president; from what I can tell, he's more popular over here than he is in his own country. :P I've always wondered what the reasons for that are.
A.K.A. Mongoose, for you HLP denizens

Because we can see him for the morally bankrupt, spineless, hypocritical, publicity seeking media whore that he is?
