My neighbour has been playing WoW for over a year now and loves it.
I recently pointed him towards Eve, said he'd check it out.
Near the end of my trial I found I was getting over the 'new stuff euphorism' and starting to just get used to the game.
To me playing similar missions over and over again was starting to get boring. =/
I love the political and corporation aspect though. The mining expedition was great fun for example. Even though I was just in the Rusty badger.
Just seems like a lack of exploration after that first 2 weeks though. Few new challenges besides the obvious higher level ones I never got around too.
WoW seems more appealing because there seems to be more player interaction in the world. Landscapes are slightly more interesting than space as well. I also like the idea of building your own character and his appearance.
I'm torn between the two though. I can see that Eve has long run potential. WoW has slightly more interesting story and background though, as well as the on foot interaction.
Maybe one day I'll just get both.
