British Frigging Rail!

Ok... heres the story.

4 times today we phoned British Rail to make sure out train was going to run tonight. Because we had to catch a train that had to take us out beyond our detination and then get a cab back. 4 Times, I repeat.

Now, imagine, it's 11:00pm, you've just got off a plane, you are tired, you are pissed off, and you still have a long journey ahead of you. You go down the escalators to find that there is a big yellow board up, with the words 'Trains cancelled - maintenance work'. You are left with no other option than to shell out £50 for a cab back to N.London. Once again, I repeat. 4 Times.

Boy, I really feel sorry the whoever answers the phone at the BT helpdesk tomorrow when I call.

This should be valid grounds for a refund of the cab money. Did you buy train tickets in advance? If you did, you can get a refund on both those and the cab tickets, with luck,
