kind of Off topic, but on the subject of hardeners, how the hell do you blokes get your damn capacitors to last so long? Do you only take against 1 type of damage? Granted all of you(including Hippo) use TL2 equipment and I look at the price/requisites, sigh, and walk away, but, really, how do you make a cap last for more than a few seconds with active hardeners?

I use all T1 stuff... I can't begin to afford much T2 stuff... And the cap thing has plagued me for a few days now... I can't figure it out...

If your using them on frigates or such, well active hardeners don't really work on frigates. As for Cruisers. Well typically you only need 2 for PVE and 3 for PVP, and you don't turn them on until down to armor, ofcourse. As for longetivity of capacitor, the most common module is Capacitor Power Relays. This is a low slot item, but has an affect on shield boosting if your using Caldari ships with boosters. The second, is Capacitor Rechargers which come in basic variety, named and TII. Named is better, i.e. Barton Capacitor Recharger or FB-10. These are medium slot modules and work pretty well in PVE.

Other methods, are Capacitor Batteries which add to your overall cap instead of increasing the speed of the charge. Also, there are Capacitor Injectors. Both of these are medium slot items and tend to use lots of powergrid. Injectors use "charges" like ammo to inject power into your capacitor. Charges come in different sizes, such as 200, 400 and 800. Do not use them in anything other than PVP where you really need them. They also use up tonnes of cargo space, so a full reload is only available once.

Also, you'll want to train up the Energy Systems Operation skill. I think its a 5% boost to recharge per level.

It is indeed... That and Shield Operation are great assets

Also, take a look at Evasive Manouvering, I've definately noticed a drop in the 'good hits' being done to me now I'm level 3, I suspect it's more effective for smaller ships though :)

even better, get evasive maneuvering to level 5, and frigate to 5 and just get an inty.

Well, personally, I wasn't overly bothered, more concerned about getting kestrelled by an irate 'customer' in that respect ;).

I suppose my main concerns were that our main operating centre is owned by concord, we only have about 30 members, most of whom are about to get booted because they are never ever on, so one persons ranking has a higher percentage of effect, but mostly I was concerned that our CEO would up and go, or expel Hippo from the Corp, which wouldn have left bad feelings. I know he's 'sort of' enjoying running the corp, even though he'd never admit it, but his first few weeks on Eve were somewhat rocky. He joined a corp who had set up a POS in a bottleneck between two unfriendly corps, it took less than a week for one of the corps to hire Mercs to blockade the bottleneck and simply gank members as they went through. They even broke a ceasefire to wipe out the freighters as they tried to head back for safe space. I think he simply has visions of it happening again, slightly paranoid, yes, but especially after someone kestrelled him in his barge for fun, I guess he has reason.

I suspect either Phreak or I will end up carrying the corp within 6 months, that's why I'm avoiding training Corp skills like the plague ;)

Thats why i left when I did... Better to leave on good terms than be forcibly removed...

So now should not be the time to tell you im planning to sell suicide kestrel packs like i do with the blasterax :p. Either way, i'll probably escrow them in jita or somewhere far away

In that case i'll train up corp skills soon :p. At this rate, it'll probably be just to keep the corp hangars alive so we can figure out who would get what out of them.
