Oddly, though, there was a book series called 'Young Jedi knights' that I read in 9th grade, and it actually held my interest...
Although it had it's own char's, not the mainlined ones. (Tenel'ka! poor girl lost her arm...)

ohhh THAT series...Top Gun wrote:No, that book series was well after Obi-Wan. It detailed the adventures of Han and Leia's children and their friends as they trained at Luke's Jedi Academy on Yavin IV. They were pretty entertaining books.

anakin and 2 twins
and anakin and one of the twins died!

Me too.
My only real problem was that Anakin's final transformation to Darth Vader was a little forced.
"Oh I've killed Mace. Better turn evil I guess"

Partly because Hayden Christiansen is a shite actor, I guess. That'd be a nitpick I had; it was too easy for him to be turned (had he shown a bit more of an evil side in the prior bits of the film - and the other films - it'd have been more convincing; as it was he was never any worse than a whiny kid).

I just saw the movie this weekend. The first thirty minutes or so were absolutely horrible; that first space battle sequence was completely pointless and looked like a stinking video game. I'm willing to forgive Lucas that, though, for the last hour of the movie, which I though was very good. While I think that the New York Times has destroyed whatever credibility it had left by proclaiming it "even better than the original Star Wars," I think that it was far and away the best of the new trilogy. That moment when Darth Vader takes his first breath...so cool.
P.S. Did anyone else think that Luke got the shaft with his living arrangements when compared to Leia?
