Well I'm using 98. Try to get to me to convert AT YOUR PERIL!

Anyway. The first one was because of a virus. One of those that hijacks your browser and turns your home page into a kid porn site every time. AVG couldn't shift it, so I had to format.

The second and third times were caused by, when going through the usual process of installing drivers, a non-existent network adapter being found by windows, which caused the net to stop working altogether. Since I couldn't get rid of this thing, I had to format. It happened twice because I didn't know exactly which driver install was causing it. Turned out to be the digicam.

The fourth time was my own doing. I installed the camera again in order to get to the bottom of this phantom network card, and try and fix the problem.
I couldn't.

meh, I think I'm going to do one more full format, when I get my 'new'PC (Dad's hand-me-down) that is. Then, I'm going to make a Ghost CD, and just toss that in everytime something forks it all up.

Yeah... I need a format too - Just for the hell of it. I just hate having to reinstall all my settings and programs - And no, Windows backup sucks ass - You end up loosing more than if you did it manualy by yourself.

That's true for me, the USB stuff got forked during the last run, but I was too lasy to redo it all.
