Ah, ole Revelations. The scene where Adama practically breaks down is one of the best moments I've seen on a show. That man can knock you cold with just a glance, and can make good work of even the worst scripts.

FInally got off my ass and get the final release. Yes, I am a cash cow.

Y'know it had me worried for a bit. Seemed like they were just killing time, post-Earth. Like they were left with a series/half a series to fill after the big climax was spent. Especially Baltar, who appeared to have become totally irrelevant. The whole series was in danger of collapsing under it's own weight, like a Battlestar suffering metal fatique.

Then the whole rescue Hera thing happened and all the signs and portents, which they appeared to have forogtten, fell into place. Well, almost.

Overall it was a pretty unremarkable climax. Especially Ellen Tigh. They could have left her dead on New Caprica and nobody would have cared. The whole final-five felt to me like a missed opportunity.

The whole Hera plotline was idiocy and unneeded.

The goal of the Cylons was to destroy Humanity not breed with them.

Cavil wanted nothing to do with Humanity and hated himself, he is the Defacto "God" of the Cylons yet the other models cliam "it's God's will to breed and multiply".

PURE BS.

Cavil had no need to have Hera abducted, there was nothing inside her to "save" the Cylon race. We don't even know if Hera could resurrect.

Plus the over the top ending of a complete Luddite philosophy was the most stupidest thing ever.

Colonials are already a simplistic race with no grasp of history and what do they expect? To pass along an oral tradition of "don't make killer robots?"

They don't even know why they had to leave Kobol and they had fricken scrolls to "tell" them.

Epic Fail. I think right after they found the first Earth I was already rooting for the Cylons to hurry up and just finish them off to end the train wreck.

The only good thing about the ending I liked was Tyrol killing Tory. Biatch had it coming...

Star Dragon, I found BSG to be tolerable if you don't spend more than 5 seconds thinking about the stupid parts ;)

I should find the original series on DVD sometime... Original > Remake from what I remember.

*raises eyebrows*

I think the original was probably the cheesiest piece of tosh ever made, myself. It was like some unholy mashup of the worst bits of Star Wars, Star Trek and Charlies Angels.

I suppose we should atleast be grateful BSG ran it's full couurse, rather than being cancelled part-way through Series2 or something stupid like that.

Now that BSG is more or less done and I don't fancy Caprica I'll need a new Sci-Fi show soon.
