Why do I push myself so hard?

1
I've noticed a pattern in everything I do, from working, to learning a foreign language, to learning how to do physical things and even down to this site. I rarely take pride in my work and always think I should be pushing myself more, either because my skills are lacking or because I think I'm not learning as fast as I should be. I think it's ok to push harder but it's also affecting my personality. I am the most stubborn person on this planet to some of my friends, I always have to stick to my guns, I always have to do things without help. I think it's making me a bit stiff because I'm always fed up that I'm not doing 'good' at a particular thing even if people say I am.

An example, I've been working out more over the past few months, but I think *not good enough, gotta do more...

How the heck did I get into this mindset? :?

How long till you're 30? ;)

Seriously though, it's an artistic thing, I'm never, ever satisfied with stuff I do, I got 96% for my programming assignment in Uni, and I thought I'd done a terrible job.

LOL You have a longer temper though ;)

The worst part for me isn't the general 'dissatisfaction', it's that, of late, I've been getting memory flashes for absolutely no reason at, of embarassing moments in my life. I can be walking down the street minding my own business and suddenly my memory will go 'Hey! Remember.....this?'. It's quite frustrating ;)

It's fine as long as you still enjoy what you're doing. I don't think it's a bad thing because you will always learn something everyday (which something we should all do).

Bloody 'ell! That's exactly like me.. I even remember things from back in school sometimes! Is this the universes way of reminding us to not make an idiot of ourselves again?

There used to be a particular area of street next to my uni that smelled very strongly of a honey-oaty-type breakfast cereal, and it always annoyed me that I couldn't remember the name of said cereal.

Ummm, sure - why not? :D

I think it was honey something, anyways. Quite chunky. And shaped a bit like 3 'o's together. And golden.
