Thing is Braben has a reputation for landing like a heavy weight on anything even remotely Elite-esque, he's already Ceased and Desisted about 5 Clones, including a flash game.

I'd love to do something almost like Startropia meets Eve, so you buy Space stations, equip them either for trade or combat by buying expansion modules, and work something around that

I advised the BSG guys do that if it looks like they might get a C&D.
