Better than looking old and going after single mums.

Rather than, er, looking young and being able to go after 17-year old single mums.

So really you're screwed either way. Or not screwed.

You'll appreciate it more if you watch Clerks, Mallrats and Chasing Amy first as they are all connected :)

Clerks is a classic and should be watched for no more reason that that anyway. It starts rather slowly so give it a few minutes to develop. If you're not chuckling by the "37" scene I'll be rather disappointed :)

I'll have to look em all up. You sound like the resident expert on this stuff? :D
I should get a list of all these things I have to watch. Catch up on it all. :)
Any other things you'd add to the list?
I've seen all monty pythons and Red Dwarf series for starters. :)
I'll be thinking of more soon.

There's a new one I saw the other day. Irish guy in a bookshop. Bloody hilarious.

Black Books. Yeah that's very cool :)

After those three and Dogma the last one of the Kevin Smith movies is Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. It's the silliest of the lot but it is pretty fun if you liked both characters :)

As for british comedy I would recommend that you look for Father Ted immediately. Sadly they only made 18 episodes and a Christmas Special.

You might also like these two.

Spaced (By the same guy who did the movie Shaun of the Dead which is also worth checking out).

Peep Show (Very odd comedy. You'll crack up watching but not be able to quote a single line to explain why it was so funny).

Thanks karajorma, I'll mention them to my friend and see if he can get them for me. :)

Yeah, they've never actually shown Black Books on TV here. A mate got them on DVD at a newsagents after another friend mentioned they were hilarious. We had a night of playing pool and watching the series. Its a good show.

I loved Black Books but to be honest I prefered Father Ted. Trying not to spoil it for Grug so I have to choose something not very specific but the "play the fecking note" scene from the eurovision song contest episode for instance has me in stiches no matter how many times I watch it.
THAT! W...w...would be an ecumenical MATTER!
