Overthinking... Rant #467891

1
While walking through the city again on my regretable regular journey to univerisity, I contemplated something which I notice all the time.

People walk along and are always in their own little zones, either a group of friends or the individual. What they have in common however, is that everyone seems to try and shut out the world albeit others around them. Grunting an apology if they stray into each other and then briskly be on their way again.

There I am standing on the side of the street waiting for the lights to go green, and I can't help but to wonder to myself. How can someone feel so alone when surrounded by so many other people?

Even if someone, for some reason, is embaressed for some reason say for tripping on a step, or dropping something. I so strongly want to reach out and acknowledge them in a nice way and share a moment of peace. Yet for the life of me, am restricted by some fucked up social unspoken guideline that says not to mitigate with strangers.

I have to question what we have become, and what kind of world we live in. Especially when I know if I go to a small town out west, and the feeling of belonging and community is so much stronger than anything else. The unspoken rules are still there, just much marginaly smaller and near insignificant.

It's so much easier seeing things from 3rd person, I sometimes think perhaps people are living their own lives from the 3rd person. Especially when they regurgitate a personality seen on TV or movies, that grates me a great deal at times. "Be yourself" is such a dead reality these days, because everyone is so afraid of conforming to society. We may preach tolerance and acceptance, yet rarely is it practiced. Reactions recieved to strange posts often resulting with :wtf: emotes or similar, ultimately acting as a plausible deterrent of strange behaviour.

I like to experiment with my own life as a guinee pig sometimes, often to satisfy my own amusement. I realize when I do this though, I am often as if sitting in the corner observing people's reactions rather than being the one doing said experiments.

I am nearing the conclusion that Human's may well be better off being utterly nutters. No one would be afraid to talk to strangers because of fear of recieving a "who the f### are you, go away" reply. People won't be so afraid to go out and just plain be themselves. People won't be so willing to conform as to duplicate their won image to replicate that of the latest girlies magazine. People won't react to un-norm things as to scare away the things from happening again.

A scary world it is. What is to become of it and where will it take us?

Mind Games has one trippy story btw. First time I read it after a few drinks, I was checking over my shoulder and shaking my fist into the sky. :p

Anyone else notice you go more and more cross eyed as you read it? :p

Back to my rant....
I find that while I enjoy myself more or less while at uni. The hour travel home through the city then on the train often drains me, so by the time I am home I feel like s###. Then something stressfull has some kind of powerup x3 bonus where I take triple the damage. Really gets me down and bums me out.

I love a cold rum to chill me out at the end of the day. (as I sip one now)
I really need to get a computer of my own soon. Then I can seclude myself in a zone of relaxation and just nail work out and finish mods off.

Anyone wanna donate to the "Help poor (literally) Greg pay for a computer" fund? :p

I use the pick to show how crazy I am. Doesn't mean I'm that particular person. >..>
Also because *me loves alma*
Gotta have some mystery in my persona online. ;)

Hell for all you guys know, Greg may not even be my real name. =o << >>

As for prostitution, it'd probably end up with dirty old men, and that's not an appealing concept for anyone. =/

There's always Bev.
Ninety-nine percent of women kiss with their eyes closed; which is why it's so difficult to identify a rapist.
