yeah at this temperature Oil becomes like mollasses, cant get everywhere it needs to be in the engine. Is there a like winterized oil, like 10W-30 is for one temperature range right? isnt there one for lower temps?

I only use 10w-30 in the summer. It's not rated for cold... really. in the winter, I want my car to have 5w-30. REally, i try to get 5w-30 in it all th etime, but some times it's out of my control (like when the asshats at walmart do it for me)

5w-30 is designed for use in sub-zero and all temperatures that are cold. I've seen trasnmission fluid physically freeze before. (well, not seen, but seen the effects of)... Antifreeze in your radiator is a must, and make sure your carborateur hasnt collected any ice or anything from condensation...

My Seat Cordoba had a carb and a (single) fuel injector. But that wasn't a new car. On a similar note, probably worth checking the air box & inlet tract.

Yes, but then you can check to see if the fuel lines are frozen.
