What a pile of crap! Sorry, but even my first attempt at a model involved more than about 20 polygons and I at least made an 'effort' to make something that looked like it took longer than 10 minutes!

My first model, BTW was the Tyr, and I'm rather proud that it is still 'useable' after all this time

Tell me about it. I've never even so much as seen a 3D modeling program, but even I could come up with something better than that. Heck, a kindergarten student could build something better out of Legos.

hehehe Well, I normally try to give people the benefit of the doubt, even if they are not very good modellers, but that's just taking the piss, quite frankly, 6 cubes for Gods Sake! LOL

I'm taking a diplomatic tone on that thread, but I've half a mind to ask him if he's taking the piss.

I mean, really. Not only is it s###, it's posted as a tiny picture zoomed well out from the actual 'model'

Same here at the moment, but if that really is a serious first attempt at a model without tutorials, then he needs to do a hell of lot more models with tutorials.

My first model was that Vasudan cruiser, I think it was around 120 something polys, but I made a mistake with the Triangles and it never did work. I really liked that model, might try to rebuild it one day.

That model is ludicrous. It looks lilke he just put 2 rectangles and 2 cylinders in close proximity an called it a model. Can anyone truly be that stupid?
