Indeed. But to hear anyone say it is rare. For that, you deserve respect. Hell, I read my own thoughts when reading your post, but I'd never say it for fear of being called sexist or whatever. The straightforward truths of the world are being silenced more and more under a mound of daytime TV and the quasi romantic pretentiousness that Hollywood routinely churns out. Believe or not, every single person at your school is utterly terrified that they aren't 'up to date' or 'popular'. Bear that in mind and they can be quite an education to watch

About the pop culture thing: The reason I don't go to pubs is that I can't stand smoke. Now, that miight be solved by moving to Ireland, or waiting another 5 years, but still. And too loud music is a no-no too. So I'm stuck inside. I hate it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention: I rarely drink to get drunk, and I have almost never drink more then 3 glasses a night. Hell, more then one means it's a special thing somehow.

I can't really contribute anything useful, as I tend to empty rooms just by going in and sitting down. No one in my life, that I can remember, has ever voluntarily spent any time with me just because they could. So somewhere along the way I just stopped trying and now spend all of my time alone. It's not so bad really, you just have to get used to the voices, they never actually say anything, they just murmur unintelligably.
