This is depressing

Guess this is more of sad news than a rant.

I just met my Grandfather (which was one of my main reasons for the trip to India), and found out his condition is actually a bit worse than before. Now not only is he paralyzed, but from what I can tell, hes depressed and pretty much in that 'waiting for death' attitude that most elders seem to get after a certain age. Which is a total shame if you consider how much his life was before the incident, and how happy he used to be :(

Now its pretty much got me depressed too since im the only grandson that actualyl considers him more than just a grandfather - a person as it were.....

If i end up shouting and yelling at ya in the near future.....yell right back to get some sense back into my head.

Not much everyone else can do about it, but just a word of advice:
Please, please dont leave your grandparents alone and ignored just like that. If youve got free time, go and visit them before its too late. You may just be cheering up someone's life more than you may know, maybe even their last moments. It may end up in the future that you'll regret never having told them anything, or having done something to make their lives better before they left........either way, dont abandon them just like that...

[/rant]

Sorry to hear that. Very wise words indeed and something many of peple should do more often.
Elton John, Richard Dean Andserson, Jack O'Neill, and MacGyver rock this world.
