I've played Halo on multi with xbconnect, so I know what to expect. In fact, I may use XBConnect once my 2 month trial expires anyway... ;)

And I don't b**ch. I get killed.

Actually it was Normal-mapping they used that is one reason there was small
amount Texture pop-ups (Xbox shows it's age)

Raa wrote:And yes, if you're so blinded by your hatred for microsoft, then the only person suffering is you. Because Halo2 already grossed over 100 million dollars in sales.
I don't have anything against MS. But I'll be damned if I'm gonna drop 300 more dollars for a single purpose device when I've already dropped a grand for the multipurpose machine on my desk that I use for the same activity.

I also don't like the mentality that develops from a console. There's no depth of gameplay, and not likely to be any, esecially given that it's all about a bigger flash or a louder bang. There are precious few console games, besides the odd FF title, that can't be beaten with 90% completion of the entire content.

Another thing I don't like is having to use a damn controller as a makedo for the fine control a high quality mouse can provide.

What's that? You're controller has 20 buttons that you have to break you're hand to reach comfortably?

Whoopdee-fraggin-doo! Mine's got 105, 210, or 315 depending on how the control scheme is set up, not to mention that they're ergonomically arranged so that I don't have to put my hand into an uncomfortable position to reach any of them.

As a PC gamer, my games, for the most part, are easily modded, thus providing many extra hours of entertainment and possibly teaching me something useful in the process.

Well, there you are then. Aside from the fact that an xbox is ~140.00 and not 300, you're complaining, but it's your choice.

If you wanted to play Sonic adventure, you'd have to buy a Dreamcast. If you wanted to play any Mario game, you'd have to buy a nintendo. But because some company decided to make a poor quality port to PC for an Xbox game, you all expect and demand that it be done again.

21
Actually, if I want to play any of those game all I have to do is locate and download an Emulator progam to simulate the hardware enviroment for the various ROMs.

I think basically what I want is for quality PC games to be made, and then crappy dumbed-downed versions made for Console. Then everyone's happy.

PC gamers get their more complex gameplay and depth, consoles get ease of use.

If I'm not discovering things about a game months after I got it, it offically sucks.

Except, its just as illegal as downloading any other warez if you don't own the game...

You've obviously underestimated Halo then...

25
You misunderstand, I...uh....*cough, cough* have played Halo *cough cough*...

I didn't say it wasn't good, I just would like to see PCs with their greater power and superior dev abilities lead gaming like they used to, not be the b#stard child that gets the hastily fitted hand-me-downs from the bigger, dumber cousin the console which then get left to get moth-ridden because since the game itself is over a year old or the dev in question has a more recent product they're working on that it doesn't get a patch to fix holes in the fabric.

Besides, console centric gamers don't have the intelligence or the patience to play a decent console port of the current addiction I'm suffering, Freelancer.

Until a PC is built that starts up in 10 seconds flat, never crashes, doesn't need a dedicated monitor, has an ergonomically designed standard controller (keyboard doesn't count....just think how unnatural the WASD setup for FPS' actually is, for example), and can be hauled down to the living room with a minimum of time & effort, Pcs will always be second fiddle to consoles.

You guys should get a Gamecube. If you want a very very very long game get Tales of Symphonia. Me and my Bro has been playing that game nearly all the time for the past 3 days and we hadn't hit the second disk yet. And if you want a shooter get Metriod Prime 2
The Only Thing faster than Lightning, is My Aim.

Chia Teal'c!

The ending really did suck. I just beat it last night. Lengenday has gotten a lot harder. When doing it co-op, if either of you die once it's back to the last checkpoint.
Elton John, Richard Dean Andserson, Jack O'Neill, and MacGyver rock this world.

I haven't gotten to play coop mode for Halo 2 yet, but I'm doing the levels on either legendary or Heroic now... I can't really remember what I chose, but it's hard.

I'm thinking it's heroic, because the beam lasers aren't one shot one kill yet.
