Its in regarding to TBP, The Babylon Project. Its a mod for FS2 and FSO to recreate the ships and effects of the TV series Babylon 5. It was formerly hosted on Volition Watch, but was transplanted to HLP when the former was closed. In the B5 universe, there are a few ships which behave partly like fighters, but because of their fire-power and size, are close to being on a par with capital ships. Most notible examples include the Whitestar and the Drakh raider. Gunship AI is an attempt to code a new AI class into FSO which would be targetted by cap-ship weaponry, be player-flyable, and be slightly more intelligent in its attack methods. Capship-AI is stupid when attacking other cap-ships, and bombers aren't suited to using turrets as their main form of attack. During its developpment, the TBP coders may even learn to get around that subsystem display problem. Personally, I think that a solution could be in WMCoolmon's modular HUD additions... not that I can understand any of the FSO code myself.

That would be GREAT cause capital ship AI is dumb. But, The way I build my cruisers the turrets are the main attack. I do know of a way to get capital ships to attack me and still shot them back, but it causes an error, it works but I don't know how well. Bout the AI of my cruiser are somehow way smarter than the othe AI. If the could even us out, that would be good. . I need to hurry and get it done so you guys can try it and tell me what you think.

Is it just me or does that sound vaguely like Turret Veiw in Freelancer?

BTW, if you can get the SCP to run as good as FL on my comp, the SCP officially becomes the best Space Combat Sim ever.

1024x768x32 with every last option maxed out. I get no slowdown(FPS is in the 30s I think, gotta run FRAPS and find out) and very short loading times between systems.

WeatherOp: Welcome to SG. Yes, what you've done has been done before, but kudos for doing enough testing to figure out the limitations on your own. The ship you're flying - did you make it yourself, or are you testing this with [V] Ships? If you made it yourself, how about showing the rest of us?

I sure will just let me get the model done. And i am useing V ships but, Its harder than U think and since I have a dial up connection it will take me a while to download Truespace. And like said above I'm still kinda sick about losing my hard drive and all my data. But, I will try to get some screens out.
