I need someone who can gather news and post it on the main page of Freespace 2 Sector. As you can see it hasn't been updated in sometime, and while I do have some time available, I never seem to find the time to update it. So, I'd like someone with fairly "good" spelling and grammer to help out with this - There are lots of things happening that don't even make it to the headlines, especially in regards to SCP.

Secondly, I'm thinking of updating Freespace 2 Sector over the summer period. I was maybe thinking of some slight updates to the content, additional sections here and there (something related to SCP too) and whatever else anyone can think of. So bring me your ideas, but nothing too demanding.

If you give me a simple news posting system (something PHP, not editing HTML, I never get 'round to that) I could update it each time I see something big on HLP. No garantuees though, and nothing in the next month.

Would this be using the existung submit news feature?

Yup. So, at least you can say how easy it is to use

Heck, I've written one news item for HLP. No one had put 3.6 up on the front page, so I just wrote something and submitted it. It's not that hard.

Want me to keep my eyes open and report stuff like that here?

[EDIT]Nope - 1 of three, me, Flip and Hunter (Who're only 21 posts apart) - VA is the next closest on 891, then there's nobody until Hippo at 495. We need some more heavy posters.

That said - Moonsword registerd less than three weeks ago and still pops up as the equal 14th heaviest poster at 125. I expect great things from this ones postcount

Yeah, I've been here, what, 17 days as of this posting, and I'm already at over 7 a day, maybe closer to 8?

i think i have about somewhere between 30-40 posts... and i put up 1-25 in my first week here. give me time...

plus, if you want a heavy poster, convince arbitar to actually post. he doesnt liek the layout of this forum, though oh well.
in about 3 months, i have roughly 300 posts on Planet Descent
