Reciprocity is dead.

'Tis a shame - Reci was one of the camps I was really looking forward to.

Damn. It was a pioneer in more ways than one.

They've posted the storyline, which is pretty much the final nail in the coffin. It's a good read though - worth a look.

Thats a pity
I think other than Scroll of Atankarwhatever, I think TI is the only other Mod that introduces a whole new species to FS2?
It's always hard to see a Mod go down in flames, especially one that looked as good as Reci

I don't think Scroll has a new species - that's about fighting as Vasudans against the Shivans, though I could be wrong. Mindgames have the starborn I s'pose, but that doesn't really count. Inferno's dropped the ancients, and Venom doesn't seem to intend on doing anything more with the Unx, so yeah, you may be right. Though Aldo did mention that "someone else" now has all the nightmare models, but he didn't mention who.

This is pretty sad news. I was really looking forwards to Reci.

Yeah. We do have a new species in MG but you won't actually be fighting against their ships so it's quite different from something like reci.

Well, I dont see what everyone has with extra species.
But anyway, 'tis really a shame to see Reciprocity go down. Maybe some people grab the ideas and complete it, which is what I hope.

You'd be surprised - It opens up your storylines quite a bit, and allows you to do a lot more with the atmosphere aspect of the campaign/missions than you'd expect. We have a lot of really cool Aesir missions planned that wouldn't work anywhere near as well if you were fighting Terrans or Vasudans. It also gives you the ability to explore new technologies and strategies, and their effects on the battlefield. The Aesir have a totally different fleet dynamic to Terrans, Vasudans and Shivans which, IMO, is a very good thing.
But, not a thread about the Aesir. I'm not sure if anyone will pick up the Reci storyline - it's bloody brilliant, but it's also completely open ie, everyone knows it. (If you read it you can see the Second Front idea behind the end of it is yet another good reason for a new species

). 'Twould be good as a fanfic, or perhaps as the basis for that FS Movie if that were ever going to happen.

Thats the case for most projects - you dont want to give away any surprises.
