Notice to all FTP account holders

I am in the process of clearing up Sectorgame's folders and putting older stuff into storage. If you have an FTP account on Sectorgame and would like to keep it, please post here so I know not to remove it. I won't be erasing everything but I will be removing access to the server and compressing older data.

Well obviously we'll still want the Diaspora folder.

Speaking of the FTP, I seem to be having a problem when it comes to uploading large files. Anything over 400MB seems to upload and then start again once it reaches 100%.

Hm... can't say I've had that problem when using Flash FXP, and I've uploaded 1-2gb files before. Will check again.
EDIT: Oh, I did notice you reached your quota so I upped it by another 10gb. That might've caused it.

Really depends how much you need and what you use it for. A safe bet would be 100-200gb.

I mean how much space do you actually have access to for the whole site? Do you have a web hosting package, a VPS, or a whole physical server?

Can I temporarily request another 10GB? I'm planning on doing a large clean up mid next month but right now I'm not on a connection that could handle backing up the entire FTP. And the team have some very large files we need to upload this week.

Nah, I already have about 90% of the FTP on my HD anyway. I just need to make sure I have everything before I start the clean up.

The fact that I don't even know if I have anything on the ftp should indicate that it is safe to delete.
