I'm not sure what this says about either the level of desperation/ingenuity in some immigrants...

Obviously didn't fabricate the thing himself, or he'd have picked something easier to disguise in.

So any ideas as to why did he would do this?

I give the guy credit for thinking up such a plan, though I take it back for not following it through all the way...

I'll give whoever actually made the mask double credit. That thing is awesome.

Stupid thing is, he probably could've done a lot with the money spent on that mask, assuming he didn't make it himself.

The excellent thing is, based on the bbc pictures, they seem to have made him put it back on just so they can take photos.
