Tried quite a few of those. I'll have to get down to Chongqing sometime soon and try the others.

Luckily, I don't travel as far as you to have authentic Chong Qing cuisine :P

Man, don't talk to me about spicy food. Dried peppers in a heated wok yesterday while someone was cooking. Being on the same floor as that was like getting hit with pepper spray.

Can't say I've ever had anything resembling those dishes, but I'm always down for some good buffalo wings.

Si chuan food is one of my favorite type of food. Poor hubby gets chocked by pepper scent when I cook spicy food, and he absolutely can't stand the smell of kimchi

Reminds me of a friend from Pakistan. She went out with some friends of mine to a Buffalo Wild Wings. She had ordered the hottest wings that they had, and was eating it as if it wasn't hot at all.

I have a similar story to that when I was in college. My best friend knew I liked spicy food. She was also curious how spicy I could eat all the time.

One day she invited couple of friends over for dinner and made some really yummi Nigerian food. I was asked to have a bite before everyone else. It was really good food with a kick. I complimented her cooking and so, everyone one started dining...

I think you can guess what happened - no one finished their dinner that night but me. I don't remember anyone had a second spoon full of dinner, because they were full from drinking a huge jar of ice water each after the first bite.

:D
