Here's some screenshots from EVE. This was a trip I and one other took to an outer region known as "New Eden". Most of the route was filled with pirates, lucious asteroid belts and nebulas. Just for those who haven't played eve, this game truely is breathtaking at times. Expect more screenshots soon from various trips and fights :-)

Those shots are simply breathtaking. I have never really experimented with online games. I take it you have to pay a monthly subscription to play?

Yeah 15 euro per month, well worth it though. More shots soon showing the various space stations. :)

With Lightspeed, Flipside and the other SCP dudes on the job, I reckon we can equal that in FS2 - still, nice shots.

At a slugging 15fps, yeah. So far EVE has run nearly 200fps with only slow ups loading models per system. Show me the FS2 engine running very high resolution with interactive nebulas, dust clouds and "bobbing" asteroid gravity affects all within the same star system, including the ability to travel between each planet, space station and rebel hideout without extra loading.. ! Granted, you can get all this done with SCP - But that's still not the point of this thread, which not only showcases EVE graphical greatness, but also to express how good the game is, not so much in words but in pictures. :)

Anyway, here's a few more. There is something here that would interest Flipside, cough ;-)

i like most of it, but some of the 'roids are odd, and there is some major aliasing at points. and yeah, FSO can do that. what kind of rig do you use BTW? and how much of those effects are server sided?

^^ Anti-aliasing alteration options were disabled in the last patch, however I can reactive it (32bit zbuffer)

^ You can download a free ten day trial from Fileplanet.

I'm starting to get back into the game myself. I played the beta and ran the HLP corp while it was going, but now I'm just a poor mofo. :p

Hmmmm... looks really nice, and yes, I saw it ;) Should be do-able ;)

I'm interested in this game, but I always hate the idea of paying for a game more than once. Still I'll delve a little deeper into this and see if I like the look of it. :)

Well it's really addictive :)

Oh, and, I think the HLP corp was ... whiped out. :p

Well of course, it was only in the beta. They wiped everything after the beta was over. We had it going really nice though. :)

I'm not so poor anymore, made about a million yesterday, need to figure out how to make more faster though :p But really, the time training skills is prohibiting me more than funds are. Pisses me off. Didn't really have that problem in beta. Funds were the problem there.

LOL Well, if enough of us get Eve, I suppose we could always start SG Corp ;)
