Theres an Email circulating around at the moment describing an animal known as the camel spider. The text that comes with it lies blatantly to be honest, since it says they run at 10kph, and inject pure novacaine, which is a lie, but, that said, I will never, ever look the same way at the pathetic little things we get in the UK.....

Damn spiders. I remember the tarantulas we got in Arizona. Gawd. Lived in our garage. Blasted things.

Yurgh
Though I think there might be some degree of trick photography in that. The way the shot is set up, especially with the hand cut out it gives the impression that the two spiders are as long as that guys leg.
No doubt they're big buggers though...

Yep, I think one of them would be around the size of your hand.
Either way, ugly little beggars

Despite that, they are quite harmless. Except to the things they hunt, small animals such as Mice. They're basically overgrown versions of the home spider, whom also hunt down insects and itty bitty things.

Well, theres a few fast spiders here in UK that are about the size of your hand, although they just have really big legs and tiny bodies. One type is known as "Daddy Long Legs", but there is another garden variety which has a bigger body and faster movement. I've seen one of these in my bedroom once, I thought I imagined it as it bolted across the carpet out of sight. Made me jump for certain, then seeing it on the wall is always the scary part. But eventually you just brush it off and fall asleep. The big ones are kinda freaky, because you know they don't have a very good grip - It might fall on me when I'm asleep ! And I'm pretty sure that DID happen once, I remember waking from a micro-sleep before actually sleeping, and seeing a black shape on my bed sheet in front of my pillow. I bolted upright, and as I regained my sleepy eyesight, it had vanished.

Those kind are everywhere. I actually love those kind of spiders. It's most entertaining, picking them up by one of the legs and freaking girls out with them. They aren't even scary. Pulling off their legs one by one and just leave one leg, proceeding to let it back down is quite amusing as well.

Pointless fact : If a Daddy Long Legs had strong enough jaws to pierce the skin properly, it's bite would be fatal.
Sleep Tight all!

Yeah, didn't you use that line here, in the exact same section, once before?
Ugh, pulling legs off garden variety spiders? Harmless little things, they're too cute for that !
