A New Year, A New Website...

Or at least it seems that way - I seem to have an incessant need to recode my website repeatedly... Regardless, the latest incarnation of my website is now fully SQL-based. The site is built with PHP, uses CSS, and was written entirely in notepad++. As a bonus, it also manages to render properly in both IE7 and firefox! Woo!

Anyway, here you have it, a 100% hand-coded PHP/SQL-based personal website with its own SMF forum. What do you think?

The validation links stick out like a sore thumb. Try moving them to the bottom right corner (side-by-side).
Other than that, it looks great.

Very nice, and great music too! I like to redo my own site once in a while, I have a wikki, SMF, and static html pages at the moment. I haven't finished converting all the pages to the latest style yet, but I am working on integrating the wiki and smf, and only have one login, no static pages.
I'll have to look further at your Sytrus tut, also.

Yeah, I've been using Notepad++ for some time. 8 years ago I used Hippie98 but i like the simplicity of NP++, and it's free.
Mostly I have free, open source apps now. FL7 and Descent (2 and 3) I paid for.
