I got offerred one the other day. Full time FIFO into Mt Magnet working as a graduate geo in gold exploration/res. def. Probably either 9 on, 5 off or 2 weeks on, 1 off. It's still rolling through upper management, but I've worked with the bloke who offered it to me before (In Darwin) and I suspect he'll get it through. Better yet, it means I don;t have to go back to uni next year - I can take a few years off then go back to finish my degrees. Very nice. But here's the thing - I have... basically no idea what I'm going for. No clue what the job will involve specifically, what pay, even the name of the company. I'm entirely trusting this guy who's hiring me. Am I crazy?
Even if it doesn't manage to get through (or it turns out to be a particularly s### job), I have an interview for Vac work on Thursday, which'll keep me employed for three months between now and next semester when I should finally be able to finish up properly and graduate. So, professionally, things are going very well for me at the moment
