SO I ordered a tablet to replace the computer my school took back when i transferred. It's a nice one too, but i completely omitted getting one wih a cd drive, and vista is a bloody nightmare (i planned ion just running ubuntu anyway for everything but eve)

I can't even play EVE properly (even if I wanted to) because everytime I run the game, it keeps SHUTTING down my hard drive! I have to pull the power just to get going again.

Why is Vista a nightmare? Ive had absolutely no teething issues with it, on my end. But I am using ultimate.

It's a hideously slow memory hogging piece of immature bloatware with bad drivers. Admittedly the latter isn't Ms' fault per se, but certifying devices as 'vista compatible' when the only requirement is not blowing up the machine is scarcely a helping hand.

2 days old and it has a complete hard drive failure. 24 hour customer service is only open 9-5 PST too
