aka CIH Vs Generic Hatchbacks

During my couple of years in the world of "Bitchin 80s Coupes" that is Opel Mantas I have had to live with a low-level obcession with Chevrolet Camaros:

Living in Blighty, with it's tinsy tiny roads, draconian traffic controls & taxing and driving on t'other side of the road this is kinda of a dodgy choice. It would cost a mint to insure and I'd only use it in summer 'cos it would probably turn crusty if left out-doors over winter. Oh, did I mention it rains alot in Mancheser too ?

Anyway, I want one. Call me a dumb-ass.

Never quite understood this car fascination thing. As long as it doesn't look like a refugee from the junkyard and runs, that is enough for me.

Now that is a fallacy. Just because you dont have no understand the attracion to cars, doesnt mean that all cars are the same :p

No, but that could be arranged, if necessary.

well any late 80s/early 90s pony car should do it.

Actually, my mam 'n' dad went mad when they saw my £100 rear window louvres that I imported from Germany for the Manta. "More money than sense" they said and I'm not exactly minted. I didn't mention I was lusting after a 5.0/5.7 yank beastie. Didn't seem like the right time, y'know ?

And who voted dumb-ass ? eh ? eh ?

I didnt vote, myself.

Personally, I'm on the lookout for a 1991 - 1995 Toyota MR2. Kinda want a project, and those jap cars are great for that.

(91-95 because they stopped production in the US after 95 apparently, though the rest of the world still got them until 99 they say...)

Those headlights must play hell with the aerodynamics, unless there's glass there I can't see.

I'm easy satisfied carwise - I want a big aussie muscle car - a falcon ute, preferably :D

Basically I'm sold on the Jetta, since it saved my ass when somebody in an SUV ran a red light doing about 90. The car wasn't even totalled. :P So, yeah, go ahead with your built-for-speed lightweights plz. I like survival.

I'm starting to come around to your thinking there Tar.

Love the Knight Rider shape (not because of a knight rider/hasslehoff obcession, I just like 'em):

I also quite like the later shape:

Im a fan of the latest generation of them. They look so beefy and aggressive. This of course is the upgraded, upgraded version of the Trans Am. The Firebird's big brother the Firehawk <3

Yeah but they still command a fair amount of money (circa £9k over here). "Ram Air". Just say it. Sounds great eh ?

I may plump for a v6 firebird first as it'll be easier to adapt to and they can be had for £2k tops meaning I could have one within 12 months, give or take.
