gunship attack runs

how do you make moove/scifi epci style gunship attck runs? i remember black wolf doing it for the whitestar, but it was deleted from the HLP database (probably to save space).

the thor (FS: A's gunship and the only ship by steve-o that hasnt been removed) just sits still and fires off its beam, and occasionaly afterburners twoards its target when it gets out of range. it also only attacks one area, instead of flying around it dodging AAA weaponry and attacking multiple areas. its kinda dumb looking... (in the tests i've run, atleast)

make a waypoint path like this image

the Dots are waypoints.

then order the Deimos to travel those waypoints (not once) and attack the orion.

that is actually a very bad way of doing it, but if you need examples look at the last mission of freespace 2.

i guess this will work with the thor...but for the effect i want, the "fire beam" SEXP will have to work for gunpoints as well.
