So, i looked on EVERY not moved topic in here, and didn't find an answer to this.

Anyone ever tried to get a freighter (particularly the Asmodeus) to have multiple cargos? Doesn't work, that i can tell. And what's the story and (if possible) how can i change the part on FRED2 where subsystemsand such list, and I quote "unnamed bay a, b ,c and the most mysterious,
blahblah"!
Can i get a hand with any of these problems? :)

i dont think the amesodeus has more than one docking bay. although the mephisto can carry multiple cargo pods at once. or you could model your own freighter that can :p

I think [Snail] was asking for: 3_6_9.

But seriously, CAN I fix the unnamed bays to be something, and figure out what "blahblah" is? I THINK i've seen it on others, but haven't looked yet...

And no kidding, you all are amazing people!
I just wanna give you all giant hug... huge handshakes... :P

and, when loading FRED2, i get this message:

You are not running in HTL mode for FRED. Although HTL mode isn't required, there may be some crashes when trying to render the new high polygon models. To enable HTL mode, create a shortcut to FRED, Rright-click into properties and add "-fredhtl" to the end of the string in the "target" box.

Now, nothing bad has happened yet, but the above instruction didn't work. it tells me:

The name 'C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fred2_open_3_6_9.exe-fredhtl' specified in target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

I under stand most of this. that file name does't exist, so it can't find it. Question is, how do i make it find it?

The target path should read like this:

F:\FreeSpace2\fred2_open_3_6_9.exe -fredhtl -spec -glow

Namely, your problem is the lack of a space between the "...3.6.9.exe" and the "-fredhtl...." parts. :)

The "-fredhtl", "-spec" and "-glow" are command line flags. Such flags are used to turn on features in Fred_Open and FS2_Open, only Fred doesn't have a nice little launcher application to take care of the flags that FS2_Open does.

You...You're my bestestest friend! :D

Do you have the answers I seek oh master of getting my computer to stop backsassing me? =D>

yayippieyahoo!!!

to Akenbosch: In FRED, clicking on show docking points in one of those buttons up top it shows Asmodeus with four docking points. this is what confuses me most. they're there, but i can't use them.

Ah, looks like [v] got lazy on the Asmodeus. They only bothered to set up one dock with a name.

Here, download & unzip this pof, place it in your models folder and try again.
