My current assignment at Uni is to create the packaging for a childrens game involving numbers.

Unfortunately, when our tutor first mentioned that we had to think up a suitable plot for this game, the first thought that came into my head was 'The Land of Integer is being over-run by militant Fractions'. Despite the fact that this would be hilarious if I did use it, I don't think I'd get away with it, the problem is, it's stuck in my head

I used to have nightmares about this old phone ad where the numbers would follow people around on the street. Yet in my dream, they'd chase you down and rip you to shreds if someone dialed it. =o

wow. I just had flashbacks to making a totally kick-arse Jurassic Park boardgame at primary school. It had a clay model of the visitor centre and everything! :D

Sweet. I made a Star Trek Boardgame, but it was during secondary. It had at first, four races, and about ten starships per race. Each ship was basically a small piece of card with a ship/name printed onto it. It was basically a game of chance, where you rolled the dice to move pieces, and rolled a seperate dice to launch attacks (all you had to do was roll a higher number than the target's shields to kill it). There was also money and some other features which I created. It was simple and fun and played it with a lot of people. :)

Haha I thought about it, but have no idea how to go about publishing it or even where to start with producing it. Not. A. Clue. I'd need a prototype first too, the one I have is so old! Also I'd have to create all new stuff, since I couldn't use any brand names (Trek or not).

you can make a prototype with the Trek name, as long as you don't try to sell it for profit, before you have a company that can get the rights for you.
