Ok, so I bumped into a friend of mine I used to play Bass with many moons ago (The early to mid 90's) in a sort of Rock/Britpop band. Well, I told him that I'd work on a couple of 'Britpop' type tunes that he could put lyrics over, and this was the first result....

Cool.

The drums seem to be a little dominent throughout the song. Though I don't know if thats just how my equalizer is set up or what.

Tis a pretty nice tune though, I like. =D
(I had it on loop and didn't realise, LoL)

Yup, the drums are a wee bit loud in there, it can be a pain sometimes for two reasons..(a) Cubase never sounds the same when it mixes down as it does when it's on playback and (b) I always lay the drums down first, so I make them loud, especially when I'm playing something like distorted guitar ;)

Cool. Very 90s brit-pop, indeed - reminds a bit of 'rawer' Bluetones tracks for some reason.

Not bad at all, Flip. I'm more of a metalhead myself though.

Thanks :) I did those on Cubase using a Sample Synth, it's a hand-tapped main beat, but I did cheat on some of the rolls ;)

I can probably get together some of my drum samples, but you'd probably need the software to sequence them up. The actual drum program I use there is called Kontakt, which is a commercial program, but you might be able to get hold of a free demo version of Acid Pro or something that will let you use samples to create your own drumbeats :)

Oh, and Blues solos are fun ;)

Now, all I need is Soundgarden's singer.....

It's a shame you can't just hook up a piano or something to the PC :)
