Hellosh! I hope that you all had a merr Christmas and a Happy new Year!

This may seem like a stupid question, and do not hesitate to throw pointy, hard, heavy, or a combination of these things things at me if it is.

Die question is,
Are there any living servers that support FS2 Multiplaying play? If so, are there any ones that support FS2 Open?

And do they support the use of customisation and mods?
In fact, I do not know much about the multiplayer system at all. Could someone explain it to me please?

Yes, yes and yes.

Get yourself 3.6.9 Official from HLP and then take a look here

I have 3.6.9 (I think) and I have done (most) of what that FAQ says but I have one problem; the link to the Multiplayer Config file download is broken. Can you tell me where else to get it please?

It's not broken. It's really meant to be a 2 line text file.

When it tells you to rightmouse click -> Save As it really means it :D

Are there any website hosted servers out there that run 24/7 or do the games not work like that? Are there often people on FS2 multiplayer anymore? (I need to know because I am trying to get the port forwarding set up but I don't know whether or not it is working as I can see no-one on there)

There are some people on MP, but not a lot. The big people are thinking of making set-time 'hubs', so that all the people who want to play log on at say, 8:00. But that's not in action yet. Wait. :)

^ How will I know when it is set-up?
I have to check whether or not I have done it right.

Hmm... I'm notta shure, but you could try logging on and then Alt-Tabbing to this website, and seeing if your name shows up on the Online Users list.

As I said, notta shure. :)
