Capture Cards?

Does anyone have a video capture card? I'm looking to get a combo deal, but I'm not sure what's possible and what's not. I want a piece of hardware that can record anything that happens on my monitor, from gaming to TV. But, if it's unreliable or no different than compared with say, FRAPS, then theres no point... I just need something that'll capture video without the severe performance loss.

No help here. I have a TV Tuner card with component in, and I have a VIVO X1950XT, but I dont think that either of those will do what you want (Unless I do the video out from the xt and connect it to the video in of the TV tuner card, and record the tv.........?)

Hmm, well, I remember an interview with some guy who made an ingame trailer and he used a capture card of somekind..

I think MT (i.e. Styxx) used one for the trailer way way way way way way way way way back

That must've been way back. That MT trailer is OLD.
