The Audiophile just died. The computer says there's a Multimedia Audio Controller, but refuses to recognise it as the Audiohpile itself.

I've going the old Audigy 1 Platinum in the Server, not that the server is connected to any speakers, so I'm going to try and move it to the main computer, but if it doesn't work, I may be music-less for a few weeks.

I have a spare sound card I'd mail ya', but I suspect shipping would be ridiculous >..>;;

Thanks very much for the offer anyway, I've just moved the Audigy from my old comp, seeing if it installs and works now, if not, I'll know what to ask my parents for for Christmas

Just like to add, if it DOES still work, I think my next card will be an Audigy 4, anything that can survive the treatment I give my server for over 18 months has GOT to be one tough little b#stard

I may well even be able to record guitar, which I haven't been able to do for ages, if I could only figure out how Cubases' Insert/Send effects work. I can only even hear the Direct Input when I'm recording, not the effect, which makes it practically impossible at the moment.

It always seems to wait till I can't afford to replace it too. At least th Audigy seems to be working well

Yup, will be till my Student Loan comes through, hopefully in a week or so
