Altering the Mainhall music

Okay, I essentially just did a straight table hack. Dropped a new track in the data/music folder, changed the parts in the mainhall.tbl that refer to the Aquitaine track to the neam of the new track.
But it doesn't work. I get no mainhall music at all. Am I missing a step here?

Possibly, I wouldn't know how to check. Or convert. Ack, I was hoping I wouldn't need any programs.

I think that the abbreviation that kara's referring to is ADPCM. Good ol' Windows Sound Recorder should be able to save to it.

If I actually had that, it might be of use. But I don't.
For some reason or another a lot of the default Windows crap did not come with this computer. I don't even have MSPaint.

Audacity might be able to do what you're looking for.
(And I know that the permanent version of Goldwave costs money, but there is a free limited-time trial, in case you just need to edit the one file.)

Actually goldwave costs no money, adn the trial is, well, stupid. Just DL the trial, you'll find that you won't use it up for _AGES_, and even then you just uninstall and reinstall and *poof* you have a new trial.
