Quite interesting...A COALITION of patients and researchers have joined a Liberal backbencher's call for the Government to trigger a conscience vote on the future of therapeutic cloning in Australia.

It said a recent Roy Morgan Poll showed 80 per cent of Australians supported therapeutic cloning.

Meanwhile, the Victorian and Queensland premiers today stepped up their call for a broadening of stem cell research, saying they might go it alone without federal backing.
I do hope progress is made towards better medical understanding of stem cells and the possible benefits to the science.
