May be away for a few days soon.

We had to tell my other Nan tonight that she is going to outlive her youngest son, who I was named after. Not a nice time.

My Uncle's been suffering from Motor Neuron Disease for a while now, we were all hoping he would outlast Nan, but the recent hot weather has left him on a Ventilator and in a bad condition, it's just a matter of time really. Our main concern is that losing her son may well make Nan give up, at over 90, she's pretty frail.

I guess personally, I've had time to adjust to the whole idea, but we really hoped we wouldn't have to tell Nan. And just to make my Aunts' life even worse, her father died of a stroke last night.

Times are not good atm I'm afraid. It may well be I suddenly vanish for a few days if it all kicks off, just to let you know.

Don't worry, we'll hold the fort for you. You take care of what needs to be taken care of.

Sorry to hear mate. :(

My uncle in law's Dad, and Mother died in the last six months as well. Then my girlfriend's aunt died of cancer (after months of painfull treatment). I've been playing a support role for the last six months. It's sad to hear of another friend's loved one nearing death. :(

In the end things eventually heal over, and sometimes, somethings work out for the better...
I hope things work out peacefully for you and your family Peter.

My regards to all involved.

Sorry to hear that flip. I completely understand what your going through, as my uncle also has liver cancer, and it's past the curable stage now. He's only just 50. Nan though passed away ten years ago.

Thanks guys :)

Yeah, I've had time to get used to the idea of Uncle Peter and his illness, and these things always happen in groups. It's mostly my Aunt and my cousins that I'm worried about, they've been through a hell of a lot lately and I think they're going to need the whole family to be there for them.

Just to let you all know, my Uncle passed into a coma yesterday and died at 9pm this evening.

My Nan is stopping with us for a week or two, so things are going to be busy for a while
