Where to find Freespace 2 ?

OK, I think I have one of the worst problems with Freespace. I had it's full version once, twice ... but now I've lost it. The last time I found to download only a demo of Freespace, but no full version. Does everybody know where it can be downloaded (for free, of course)? Please tell if you know.:?

Has anyone actually managed to acquire the full, FULL version of freespace 2 through that? I haven't :(

Well I'm pretty certain that someone has managed to get it off the e-mule links at least. :)

The second set of numbers is how much I've uploaded in total.

The HotU link on my site is everything except the cutscenes which you don't need if you're playing FS2_Open. If you really want the mve cutscenes for some strange reason (or if you simply haven't got a powerful enough machine for FS2_Open) there's always freespacezone.

The HoTU link does NOT have everything except the cutscenes, its missing a good deal more, which you listed yourself:

sparky_hi_fs2.vp
stu_fs2.vp
warble_fs2.vp
tango1_fs2.vp
tango2_fs2.vp
tango3_fs2.vp
smarty_fs2.vp

While some of those aren't all that needed, it would be nice if i could get my hands on sparky_hi_fs2.vp, stu_fs2.vp, and warble_fs2.vp

That's the OLD HotU version. The new version I uploaded for them earlier this year has everything except the cutscenes. :)

I really need to take the old HotU page to reflect that :)

I've been where you said, Grug, and I,ve found a good download. But there's just a small little tiny problem ... why before I want to save the file it says that the file type is unknown? Does it require a special program or something?:|

Which file Astraal?

It is karajorma's FAQ, so he should be able to help out if you let us know which one it is. :)

I suspect you're saving one of the torrent files. You need to have BitTorrent to use those (same as you need e-mule to use those links).

The HotU version is the only direct HTTP download I have on that page. If you need all three disks try the freespacezone link I posted above.

Is it just me or did all the underdog links die?

EDIT: doesn't matter, i got it off freespacezone.

Exactly, at Karajorma to those "General questions" - "Where can I get FS1 and FS2?". There's a line with "here, here, here or here(FS1/FS2)". On the first "here" it opens a download site, then the first "Freespace 2". It writes that is has 2.2 GB size(tell me which other if not this one). I've got the BitTorrent, but still "unknown file". And when I click to download, in there it writes 22.6 KB size, not 2.2 GB.

By the way...give me an avatar URL example. I've tried to put in an image, but it wasn't valid. Can't I select one from my computer??? Or it must be found on the web somewhere with 120x120 pixels and 60 KB ?

Black Hole, do you actually say you've found it and downloaded it????!!!!!???? Already??!!?? From where (like "click here[name]/click here/.../& here/...etc." if you can) ?

When you download the bittorrent, you need to load it in a bit torrent program such as utorrent.

Then from there you can download the files. :)
