FS demo installer bug, any ideas?

Hey, I'm new to FS, I heard about it recently and thought I'd try out the demo, it sounds awesome, I've downloaded it from two mirrors and had the same results, it extracts all the files to a temporary directory (No idea where) Then dosen't ask me where to place the files, I end up having to cancel installaiton, so far I've tried;
Installing again. Lots. (Even under different compatibility modes)
Using WinAce to extract the file to a different locaiton- It had interesting results, I got a bunch of setup files, I thought I'd finaly got the installer out, but when I double click SETUP.EXE nothing happens. (Also tried different compatabilities with no avail)
Tried using "Run" to find the directory and run setup that way, same results, not even a error message.
After opening Setup again, I opened task manager and checked processes, theres a "setup.exe" as well as "wowexec.exe" When I close either of them it comes up with "The request to end the selected 16 bit task has timed out. The Win 16 subsystem may be unstable. Press OK to terminate the Win 16 subystem to leave it running" I clicked Ok.
I realised that it may have been designed for DOS, hell why not, which would kinda explain why Explorer couldn't open it, it was a stupid idea but I tried it anyway, I ran DOS (Entering ".cmd" in Run) but it didn't recognise Run command, and entering the directory failed because some folders had spaces in them. All in all that plan fell flat on its face.
I've tried about all I can think of, and searched your forums as well as various other sources for infomaiton and failed, does anyone know how to fix this?
I'm going to restart and try again now, if it works I'll edit my post, if not then I won't.
*edit* I <3 cold boots XD I ran the installer I extracted earlier after restarting and it worked, I haven't run the demo yet but if I get any problems I'll use the same thread
