I'm looking at starting up a website for submitting news, reviews, and general rants etc . Probably like to have a forum going eventually too.

But yeah, just wondering if there's any advice people can share with me concerning the best way to go with format, code language, security and all the rest.

I'm thinking I'd like this to become more of a hobby eventually too, so I'm pretty serious on the idea. (For the moment anyway)

So yeah, any and all advice / tips / pointers / suggestions / things to avoid are welcome.
