A convicted German cannibal returned to court today for a retrial to determine if his killing and eating of a willing victim amounted to murder.
That is seriously WTF!
Further more if you read the whole article. o.O

Yeah, becaus the guy wanted to be killed and eaten. From that perspective, it could be legally argued this is no more different than assisting suicide or euthanasia; in the first case, that's what happened, and the top court sent it to be retried because they felt his recording of the killing was ignored, and that allow it to be legally tried as murder.
In a dark suit, and thinner than at his first trial,
He's obviously not been eating well.....

Oh he wasn't a reaver... reaver's rape you to death, then eat you, wear your skin, and ornament their hull with your corpse.......... This was just a hungry german survivalist!

Lawyer Harald Ermel acknowledged his client had a "fetish for human flesh", but said he was no longer a threat.
"Under the same circumstances he would never do something like that again," he said.
I'm wondering what evidence suggests that he wouldn't start doing this sort of thing again. Personally I'd think that a cannibal (especially one as deeply disturbed as this one) would not simply be able to stop that sort of behavior. *shrug*
However, I do
somewhat fell sorry for him. He's clearly not an ordinary heartless killer. He even (supposedly) released victims that had changed their minds...
I also don't see anything wrong with assisted suicide... although this form of assisted suicide is quite a bit more disturbing than what I had in mind.
Anyone else have thoughts about that?

Maybe he decided he didn't like the taste.

It seemed like more of a sexual fetish.
He kept a video of him killing the guy and watched it over and over for "sexual pleasure".
But yah, 200 people applied. o.O
Then he posted a 2nd ad and only then someone reports it...
Though I suspect a majority of the first bunch of applicants were fakes, thinking it was a joke.
Sleep well darkshivan... >D

I doubt it.
Notice that the big cats avoid eating humans in general but once they have become man eaters they don't stop.
It's obvious that we're natures equivalent of a pack of Pringles.

Well, that's only some of them. Also, it's widely believed that's not because of how we taste, but how easy to kill we are.
You see, we have another natural defense besides our intelligence. We actually taste bad. If you ever wonder why people survive shark, cougar, lion, bear, whatever attacks, it's because they took a bite and swore off human forever.

Perhaps this thesis is in need of a practical demonstration or test under a controlled environment?
I will volunteer to be eaten \ bitten if there is no-one else.

Not so certain about that. I once heard about how a butcher sold off his murder victims as pork during WWII.
I do know that great white sharks don't much like the taste of humans though. But predators that do eat humans tend to stick to it quite happily.
