People who talk in movies

1
They should bring back hanging for them.

Went to see Serenity today and this bunch of teenagers come in talk loudly during the adverts (meh) Talk loudly during the trailers (blood pressure rising) and then proceed to actually talk during the movie.

I managed about 2 minutes before I finally turned to them and told them to shut the up rather loudly (I believe my exact words were "For f###'s sake will you please just shut the f### up!" - Just the right level of latent psychopathy in that I think :D ). I think I scared them into submission cause I barely heard a peep from them until the last minute or two. One of them did have a mobile phone go off but they weren't stupid enough to answer it (they would have been picking up the bits from the floor of the cinema had they done so).

Quite frankly people like that really need to die. There's no excuse for it. If you want to talk don't go see a film.

LoL.

Yeah hate it at movies, don't really give much of a rats about TV at home though. Besides I can bank them out if need be. But I don't watch much TV these days anywho so. *shrugs*

That's bloody gold mate, I would of done the damn same thing. Bloody kids these days, no respect. >(

What about the people who occasionally yell out in movies. One of my 'mates' does that and it shits me.

Like that pirating ad they have on these days. The one that goes 'pirating is stealing', my mate will scream out "It's not stealing!".
I don't really care much there because its an ad, but it still shits me at times.

Then he'll do it during the movie or something. "Bullshit! - blah blah"

Makes his objection, then justifies himself to the crowd in a few sentences.

Sometimes it is funny, but its f#####g annoying that it happens in near every bloody movie.

*deep breath* Jesus, got my heart rate up typing that out. o.O

I remember seeing a movie on holiday in florida with some group of americans sitting in the front row shouting stuff like "we like this s###" throughout the entire film. I mean, for fucks sake, just go up on stage and dance if that's what you want.

It's almost as annoying as people who bring babies to movies. I mean, come on. 13 months old and you subject them to Steven Seagals* constipated expression? How secrewed will that kid be? It's no wonder they cry. Incessantly.

*example. Don't worry, I wouldn't actually pay to see one of his 'films'. Even if they are quality comedies.

I've seen that one before. If you can't find someone to babysit for you for a couple of hours while you go to see a movie you really need to make some lifestyle changes.

Apart from the dickwads in the movie yesterday one that really pissed me off was when I went to see Fellowship of the Ring and some daft bint in the row behind me kept talking loudly to her kids. For instance at the point when Aragorn had just dragged Frodo into his room in the Inn she decided to proclaim loudly that he's Aragorn and is one of the goodies. For f###'s sake, I might have already known that but you've just spoilt all the tension for everyone who hasn't read the book. Not to mention what kind of example are you setting for your children?!

Same thing happened to me in The Two Towers. This guy explained to his kid that Gandolf was comming back. WTF!!! I wanted to beat the snot out of the b#stard.
Elton John, Richard Dean Andserson, Jack O'Neill, and MacGyver rock this world.

Ah, you poor, poor people who did not read the book several years before the movie came out... :P

I deliberately chose not to read it. Read the Hobbit, and that put me off Tolkien for life. The guy has a good story, an incredibly solid universe to set it in, but he's a terrible writer.

How do you mean? I've read quite a bit over the course of my life, and I've never seen another author with such a gift for verbally describing a landscape or keeping simultaneous threads of a story running with such precision. Now, if you want to talk about bad writers, I humbly submit Hemingway. I mean, the ending of A Farewell to Arms was re-written 50 or so times, and that was the best he could come up with? :P

I'd say Twain. Probably the only author I've ever read whose stories have been so mindnumbingly boring I've never finished them - not in terms of one book, but two.

Oh, and further stuff to hate - people who park in disabled spaces without being disabled.
